We sell Singapore cookies, pineapple tarts, kueh lapis and gift sets, packed in tins that fit in hand luggage. Taste anything before you buy. You do not need to leave the airport, and you do not need to make a detour.
If you are looking for a Singapore souvenir that people will actually eat, this is the last stop before your flight.
Where to find us in Jewel

We are on Level 1, near the Rain Vortex waterfall. Most visitors find us by walking to the waterfall and looking around Level 1 from there. That is easier than looking for the unit number.

Can I get to Jewel before my flight?
Yes. Jewel sits between Terminal 2 and Terminal 3 and connects to Terminal 1 Arrivals. It is in the public area, before immigration. So if you are flying out of Changi, you can shop with us first and then go through immigration.
If you are only transiting through Singapore, you have to clear arrival immigration to reach Jewel. Allow a long layover if you plan to do that.
What to buy
Cookies and gift sets are what we do. There are two ways to choose: one flavour you know they will like, or an assortment tin sized by how many people you are giving to.
One flavour, two tin sizes
Over 20 flavours. Most come in a standard tin or a smaller fun-size tin. Fun-size tins start at $10.80. Standard tins start at $19.80.
Flavours include Premium Pineapple Balls, also known as pineapple tarts, plus Kopi Siew Dai, Molten Chocolate, Salted Caramel Almond, Green Pea, Hojicha Butter and Purple Sweet Potato. The cookie menu in the store marks which flavours are halal-certified and which are vegan.
Assortment tins, by piece count
Every cookie inside is individually wrapped, so one tin divides easily between several people.
- 6 pieces — Travel Tin, $14.80, or 3 tins for $39.90. Only at our Jewel store.
- 12 pieces — Nanyang Gift Set, $18.80. An assortment of flavours, built to travel.
- 16 pieces — Flowers She Sowed tin, $28.80, or 2 tins for $52.
- 20 pieces — Spring Serenade tin, $35.80.
- 32 pieces — Orchid tin, $58.80. The one to bring back to a whole office.
We also have kueh lapis, the layered cake made in thin layers, and gift bundles and hampers if you are bringing something back for a whole family.
Only at our Jewel store
Two things are sold only at our Jewel Changi Airport store.
The Singapore Heritage Travel Tin Series. Three small suitcase-shaped tins, each painted with a piece of Singapore: Shophouses Painted by Little Hands, A Stroll Through the Garden City, and A Thousand Tiles. Each tin holds six individually wrapped fun-size cookies, and you choose the flavours yourself. Small enough for a carry-on. The tin is worth keeping after the cookies are gone.
Cookies and pastries baked fresh in the store. Our Pandan Canelé is $14.80 and comes in a travel-friendly box, so you can take it home with you. Also baked here daily: Double Chocolate Cookies at $7.80 and Sea Salt Raspberry Chocolate Cookies at $9.80.
We also run specials that are only available at Jewel. Ask our staff at the counter what is on that day.
Can I taste before I buy?
Yes, every day. Our tasting counter is open all year, not only during festive periods, and there are usually a dozen or more of our flavours open to try. Take your time. Our staff will not push you.
This is the part customers mention most often in their reviews, and it is the main reason to come in rather than order blind.
How long do the cookies keep?
Our tinned cookies keep for six months from the date of production. They are sealed, so they travel well and they will still be good when you get home and hand them over.
The items we bake fresh in the store are meant to be eaten sooner. Ask our staff at the counter how long each one keeps before you buy it to carry home.
Will it fit in my luggage?
Our tins and boxes are made to be carried. Travellers tell us the small tins fit into a carry-on without taking up much space. If you are checking a bag, the sealed tins handle it fine.
If you are buying several gifts, the individually wrapped cookies inside each box make them easy to split up later.
Do you have halal-certified products?
We have halal-certified products. Not everything we sell is certified, so look for the halal label on the product, or ask our staff at the counter and they will show you which items are certified.
Can I order ahead and have it sent to my hotel?
Yes. Order at www.mdmlingbakery.com at least three days before you want it, and we will deliver to your hotel in Singapore. Delivery is free on orders above $100.
Two things to know:
- We deliver within Singapore only. We cannot post to your home country, so buy what you want to carry with you.
- If you are leaving in less than three days, come to the store instead. You can also WhatsApp the store on 8970 3598 to ask.
Why buy at the airport instead of in the city?
Singapore is hot and humid. Baked goods bought on your first day sit in that heat for your whole trip. Buying on the way out means your cookies go almost straight from our store into your bag and onto the plane.
Buying on the way out also saves you carrying them around for a week.

Bringing food home from Singapore
Taking packaged cookies home from Singapore is usually straightforward, but the rules belong to your country, not to us.
- Plain packaged cookies and tarts are the straightforward choice. Most customs concerns travellers raise are about meat products, not baked goods.
- Keep the packaging sealed until you are through customs at the other end. Several countries want packaged food unopened at inspection.
- Rules differ by country and they change. Check your own country’s customs website before you fly. We cannot confirm what your country will allow.
If you are buying pasalubong to bring back to the Philippines, the individually wrapped assortment boxes are the easiest to divide up.
